Minority Rights in Ukraine After the Maidan Revolution: Change or Continuity?

Abstract This paper explores the state of minority rights in Ukraine following 2014 Maidan revolution. The revolution has been largely regarded as most radical attempt at de-institutionalizing post-Soviet politics and order since 1991 forging a new Ukrainian nation. Such an endeavor leads us to address critical question what core implications are on Ukraine, which encompass religious, ethnic, sexual rights. analysis places special emphasis religious post-Maidan Ukraine. Findings suggest that not led substantial policy reform it pertains minorities, thus leaving many their problems unaddressed. While aided becoming more “Ukrainian” reinforced national identification population, marked considerable shift nationalism by ensuing adverse effects Russian-speaking population Eastern well other ethnic groups.
